Hello...It's Me.

It's been almost a year, I know. I have been MIA and I am so sorry about that. So a lot has happened. Finally, we received our building permits...now that took more than a year. So much drama from contractors...lazy contractors. We had one company ignoring calls and emails all together after a down payment. Isn't that crazy? We finally got the email yesterday that all permits were approved so building should start soon. YAY! Some more big news...I am pregnant! I am 11 weeks tomorrow and I couldn't be happier. Baby is due in June, how awesome would it be if the house was done June too! Well I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving Day! :)

Farmhouse Favorites Friday

Hi everyone! It has been so long since I've posted anything and I apologize. We have been having minor set backs on the house building and the process hasn't completely started. I was getting so impatient but I know that God has perfect timing and try not to ask myself why it's taking so long everyday. We haven't been working on project as much as I would like. I know I will have more time in the summer though.

Anyways, today is Friday and I would like to share some of my favorite farmhouse posts I have seen recently. I have been on Pinterest looking for ways to make more storage room in every room. Just a reminder, the house that is being built is going to be pretty small so I am looking for extra storage and shelf space in certain areas and I found a few great ways to add to the house. This Friday I am going to add my favorite restroom ideas only.

One of my favorites, the wooden shelves.

I love the idea of something like this on the restroom walls, not necessarily over the toilet but on a side wall I think would be nice too. Space for some rolled towels and a little decor.

This is a really great idea. I think I would rather use my cabinet space on all the make up I may have to store rather than a pack of TP so this here is something I definitely wont mind doing.

The ladder is something else I love! It's great for towels too. I even love these baskets in the picture! I actually love everything about this restroom on Country Living. Look at how beautiful it is!

Hope you enjoyed & have a great weekend.

Tiny Kitchen/Nook

I need your help! So, my tiny house doesn't have a huge dining room, we actually have a small nook area. I need your help with making my dining area comfortable. We currently have a small 6 person table that we want to distress and keep it, but we are not sure if it will fit. If you have a layout plan send it my way! We really don't want to buy a new small table but if we have to we will.

Room Challenge...

I know a lot of you have heard about the One Room Challenge. I love following everyone's posts when they participate, but one blog caught my attention more than the rest because of the budget they use, she even started her own challenge, called the $100 Room Challenge. I am definitely excited to try this because  I am a money saver, and if anything, this challenge will help me stay within my spending budget. Building a new home and having a new mortgage is something new for us, so anything we can do to make our house a home and save money while doing it is a plus! I can't Wait!

Show and Tell

I am so excited to be able to show you my future tiny farmhouse. I just received an email with the front, back and side elevations. I am in love with it and would love to share it.

As you can see it is tiny, and I am not exaggerating. I am positive that my husband and I can make this work for us. I have so many ideas and can't wait until August! This is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house so as as soon as we move in we hope to start a family. ♥

I have always wanted a porch and I am so glad to be getting one. I swear I am on Pinterest daily gathering ideas and what not. My husband loves plants and I love wind chimes, as a matter of fact, my godmother gave this rustic wind chime that is currently hanging in my bedroom above my bed. I love it! Thanks madrina! :)

Last month we chose our color scheme, floors, roof, etc. Next month is when building starts. How exciting?! So hopefully, if all goes well, our tiny farmhouse will be move in ready by August!

I know I haven't been posting much, but we have been working a lot, and haven't had time to work on much for the house. We should be starting on our table soon!
